Why "Bricks"?
My family started making bricks in Essex Junction, Vermont in the 1860s. The company stayed open for about a hundred years before being solded to Densmore Brick Company and then finally closed. If you live in New England you've probably found bricks stamped with DRURY all over the place. The University of Vermont is constructed mainly of Drury brick as well as many other buildings throughout New England and beyond.
Bricks symbolize quality and sturdy construction. They also have to be laid by hand and require a certain amount of skill and craftmanship to lay properly. I'd like to think my posts here will fit that discription as I post them one at a time and (hopefully) apply some thought.
