Collecting Bricks
Did you know there are people that collect old bricks?
I didn't until yesterday. Oh, my family has tons of DRURY bricks, mostly reclaimed from demolition sites but a few unused bricks from the very last run in 1963-ish. I don't know why but people in the area must think my mom really likes the old bricks because she now has a sizable pile in her back yard. She didn't ask for them but there they are nonetheless. I'm sure other families of former brick makers keep some around, too.
But there's a whole lot of people who are into collecting bricks.
And yes, there's several questions asked about DRURY bricks at that site. I think I was able to provide at least a little information.
I only have family stories as the basis for my information so I'm certain that I have some of the specifics wrong. Still, it's nice to see people interested.

Yes, my family has about a ton of reclaimed Drury bricks that were salvaged from at least one Burlington VT (de)construction site. I'll send you an email and you can let me know your address.
